Which AI should I use to build a website without code?

Claude and the other big chat AIs can now build a working one-page site right in the chat, and Claude Code can build and publish a full site from your computer. Below is which AI to start with, plus no-code builders if you'd rather click than type.

Which AI does this best

Builds a working landing page in the chat with a live preview you can click through and tweak by asking. It's one page at a time, though: for a domain, forms and hosting you'll copy the code into a host or a builder.

    ✦ Try this prompt
Build a one-page website for [business name], a [what you do] in [city]. Sections: hero with a headline and a [Book now / Contact] button, 3 services with prices [list], about me, 3 short FAQs, contact form. Style: [calm / bold / minimal], colours [colours]. Mobile-friendly, plain HTML and CSS in one file, show me a live preview. Write the copy yourself in a friendly tone, then ask me what to change.

The pick if you want a real multi-page site you own. It creates the files on your computer, runs the site locally and can deploy it to a free host. You'll need a paid Claude plan and to be OK typing in a terminal or the desktop app.

    ✦ Try this prompt
In this empty folder, build a fast multi-page website for [business name] ([what you do]). Pages: Home, Services ([list]), About, Contact with a form that emails [your email]. Use Astro, no paid services. Write the copy yourself, keep it short and friendly. Run it locally and give me the link to check it. When I say it looks good, walk me through publishing it free on Netlify or Vercel step by step.

Free option. In Canvas mode it writes the page and shows a live preview, and it can match a screenshot of a site you like. Copy is blander than Claude's and bigger edits sometimes break the layout.

    ✦ Try this prompt
Open Canvas and build a one-page website for [business name], a [what you do]. I've attached a screenshot of a site whose style I like, match its layout and feel but not its text. Include: headline, [number] services with short descriptions, testimonials placeholder, contact section with [phone/email]. Single HTML file, mobile-friendly, with a live preview.

Fine for a quick page in Canvas and good at writing the copy, but the preview is less smooth than Claude's and it often stops short of a finished design unless you push it.

    ✦ Try this prompt
Write the full copy and the code for a one-page website for [business name] ([what you do], target customers: [who]). Sections: headline + subheadline, 3 benefits, services with prices [list], short about, FAQ, contact. Put the code in one HTML file with inline CSS, mobile-friendly, colours [colours]. Then list what I should change before publishing.
